The future of Bitcoin in El Salvador is bright, and it's being built by a new generation of passionate developers. This week, Tiankii took a major step in fostering that future by partnering with @cuboplus to deliver a Bitcoin Technical Masterclass in Spanish to 30 aspiring developers from CONEXION SV, a non-profit organization dedicated to technology education and workforce development.
This wasn't just a lecture; it was a hands-on experience.
- Bitcoin as the internet's money: Understanding the fundamental role of Bitcoin in the digital economy.
- The Bitcoin Blockchain: Deciphering the technology behind the world's first decentralized digital currency.
- Wallet types: Differentiating between hot and cold wallets, lightning wallets, and on-chain wallets.
- Setting up a Bitcoin Core node: Gaining practical experience in running and maintaining a Bitcoin node.
The masterclass wasn't limited to theoretical knowledge.
Students were guided through the setup of Bitcoin wallets, and every participant received a generous Sats giveaway, a tangible introduction to the power of Bitcoin.
The knowledge shared wasn't limited to just Tiankii.
The workshop included insights from @cuboplus alumni, themselves trained by leading figures in the Bitcoin world like @jimmysong, @peterktodd, @giacomozucco, and #AdamGibson. This ensured students received insights from some of the best minds in the Bitcoin space.
El Salvador's Bitcoin journey was also showcased.
Students learned about local innovations such as the @k1elsalvador Bitcoin ATM, the Tiankii Bitcoin card by @TiankiiApp, and Bitcoin POS machines. These examples demonstrate the growing Bitcoin ecosystem in El Salvador and its potential for real-world impact.
